Lawrencia joined PETROSOL in August 2019 as Incoming Head of Finance & Planning and assumed the substantive role on 1st October 2019. She is a seasoned finance and accounting professional with a considerable wealth of experience in the oil and gas sector.
Prior to joining PETROSOL, she had a stint with Globex Energy, a Bulk Distribution Company (BDC), as the Finance Manager, assisting to set it up as a new BDC.
Lawrencia previously served as the Head, Treasury Operations of Airtel Ghana Ltd (Airtel Tigo; the Commercial Manager of Maranatha Oil Services, a BDC; the Head of Finance of Springfield Energy/Springfield E&P, a BDC and oil exploration company; the Financial Controller of UBI Petroleum (now PUMA Energy Ltd), an Oil Marketing Company (OMC); and Senior Accountant of So Energy Ltd, an OMC.
A chartered accountant and Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA), she began her career as Audit Associate, later becoming Audit Senior of KPMG, a global audit firm. She went on to become the Finance Manager of the Private Enterprise Foundation (now Private Enterprise Federation).
Lawrencia holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Wuhan University of Technology, China, and Bachelor of Science degree in Physics from the University of Ghana, Legon.
She has also undergone the following courses: International Financial Reporting Standards for Oil and Gas (Johannesburg), Oil Market Fundamentals (Accra), BP Third Party Traders course (London) and Excel Application in Financial Management and Modeling (Accra). She is currently doing a Postgraduate Certificate Course in International Trade Finance at Middlesex University, London/International Finance Faculty.
